About rebirth scorecard
Why have a Scorecard?
The Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism are committed to high performance and clear accountability. We created this Rebirth Scorecard to make it easy for people -- Louisianans and the whole world -- to see how we are holding ourselves accountable for performance, and how we are doing. It's meant to:
- Show how we are measuring our success -- the short and long term results for each the four priorities of our Rebirth Louisiana Plan.
- Tell citizens -- very clearly --- our targets, our progress, and what we are doing to improve.
- Demonstrate to the state and to the nation that we are committed to high performance and accountability.
What's on the scorecard?
For each of the four priorities of our Louisiana Rebirth Plan - Tourism, Cultural Economy, Lives and Livelihood and High Performance, we have chosen results to measure.
Each result either has or will have a graph showing the "Pre-Katrina" levels, recent progress and our targets for the future. Below the graph is a short explanation of what we are doing to make progress.
Where we don't yet have data for a result, we've told you when we expect to get it, and what we are doing in the meantime.
